Most state and provincial laws treat electric bikes as regular bikes. Therefore, to operate an e-bike:
- No driver’s license is required
- No written test is required
- No vehicle registration or plate is required
- No insurance is required
All that is required is that the driver must be 16 years of age and wears a helmet for majority of provincial and state laws.
